Summer of 69'

So today I've remembered all those "oldschool" hits, from summer of 69', to road to nowhere, and as I'm writing I am listening at all saints! Oh, and I've been listening to k's choice, audioslave, garbage, oh, the list is long, so it inspired me to dress like this! It's cosy, and u don't have to look always "damn I am trying so hard". I put on what I feel and how I feel! So here I am wearing a vintage sweatshirt - great color, haha, some great fluorescent yellow shorts from CALZEDONIA, and some H&M leopard print shoes.
Oh and we had a hair day makeover! I helped my sister and her friend with their hair, since they were super excited about the One Direction premiere - haha, yeah she is a big fan, and don't judge her, she is only 13! She is adorable, and it was so sweet how excited she was - she actually woke up at 7 am, and her friend came over, and they had a "lady" day all day long (cooking, doing nails and everything), haha, super sweet.
Then I went with my other half brother to get an ice-cream! And we had a competition who's bubble is gonna be bigger! I WON!! haha :P
Oh and finally I borrowed some Bukowski books, I need a break from all those paper works and photo editing and my laptop, I feel like my eyes are gonna pop out!
So yeah, gonna finish my pics from the photoshooting, so I can finally upload them and share them with u - as promised!
Much love,
Viktoria <3

Happiness hit her like a train on a track, she killed it with kisses and from it she fled♡

Today I must say I am unbelievably happy. No particular reason, I just am. Grateful for everything I have, all my family and their love and support. Not all of us have that blessing, and I must say I do. Counting the days till I am moving to Portugal and already organizing next year and going only further.
Now let's talk about fashion, haha! So yeah, I got this amaaaaazing smashing fluffy fur coat in SISLEY and it took my breath away - literally. The lady who was working there burst in to laughing, haha. I just love fluffy things, there is something so... soft? about them. haha! it makes you feel safe and worm, like a kangaroo in his mothers "pocket" :P
And those jeans are the only jeans that haven't wash out, I swear. like, nothing happens to them, no matter how much I wash them, and I do wash my clothes very frequently (yes, I have this obsession clean clothes, hate bad smells and specially clothes bad smell, blah). I bought them at D&G's and they are super comfy, a bit large tho, now that I've lost a lot of weight, but ok, we'll make it look like "ghetto meets princess" haha!
This tee is another "DIY" t-shirt. As I've said, what I see (still talking about t-shirts), I make! And it doesn't cost much, just find someone who can do it in a right way. Can't wait to print some of my designs, but I need to save now a lil bit of money.
Oh, and those boots were super trashy, so I dyed them! aren't they amazing?? like super shiny and GOOOOOLD! oh I love gold shoes, and now, I' m too afraid to buy shoes on solestruck, cause every gold pair of shoes I see, I add them to my basket !!! But yeah, I need shoes, so I need to make up my mind and really quickly. Oh, one tip when u dye your shoes (which I didn't use and now I'll have to do it all over again) - brush the color or leather off, don't know the word in english for the paper that is used for that kind of stuff, but yeah, DO IT. and clean them really good, like really good, they should be very smooth, and then spray it, dry it, and repeat (just the spraying part, haha)

Oh, and I signed up for this competition on lookbook with this look. Hope it sends me to NY to see the fashion show. So keep your fingers crossed!

Oh, and another thing, haven't forgot about the rest of the photos, nor DIY, just have to catch some time, since that now I have to work for school and get prepared for my last exams, so keep your fingers crossed for that too!!!

much much much love,
sincerely Viktoria

Buffalo platform shoes ♡

♡

So, as I've said, I LOVE platform shoes of ANY kind! I remember it like yesterday - when I bought those BUFFALO platform shoes.Oh was I proud of those shoes, and simply wouldn't dance without them.  I was very into clubbing and partying, and back then, it all looked like a scene from the movie "party monsters" starring Macaulay Culkin. People with wings, costumes, wearing platforms and jumping around spreading love. I am glad I got to live that and see that, wasn't "heavy" like in the movies, but it got "traces of it". Today, that scene, is very different from what it used to be, at least in my parts, where I am from (and around). So these shoes are a piece of memory from that period of my life. And finally, they are back in the scene. I have this slight feeling that most of the 90's are coming back, but in a waaaaay much better way. I despised the 90's haircuts, and some other things, but there were few AWESOME stuff from that period - like grunge - that is very popular now!
These FREDDY'S sweatpants, from the other hand, I bought them last weekend. Yes, I am obviously trying a lot of "new" stuff. I used to be such a boring person, liked one thing and got stuck with it. NOT ANYMORE!! haha! Now I always try to think out of my comfort zone, and buy as many colors as possible and I always put something "wild" in my basket.
The cropped LEVI'S tee is totally vintage, and was a gift from a friend. He had an attic filled with great vintage biker Harley Davidson stuff, as his father was (or is still ) a biker and owned (and still owns) a lot of those pretty great things.
So putting all this together it came out as a pretty fun outfit. Some will love it, some will hate it, but hey, the most important thing is that I adore it! ;)

Oh, and yesterday I had a lil bit of DIY time, and did something GREAT with my shoes :D
So I will keep u posted, as always.

Much love, Viktoria.

Shopping time!!

So, this weekend I went with my family to shop for some new clothes! We had a great time, running around, trying stuff. I even convinced my dad to shop in Galliano's, which was way out of his comfort zone, but yeah, I convinced him to try a pair of jeans and he fell in love with it the minute he tried them on! Ah, I knew it he would! :D
And then I saw this pair of amazing baggy baby blu-ish pants , and I just had to - even tho they weren't woman's pants, but who cares, I found the smallest number and it fit!
In ICEBERG I found this amazing orange blazer! It was in the "error" section, so they lowed the price! And to be honest, I can't find the "error" haha.
And those amazing shoes with a lil platform , I found in BALDINI! I just love platform shoes! Yes, I am a spice girls fan, so yeah, I love them, and always will :D haha
The floral print brownish bag I found in Funky Fish, they had some brutal sales, so what the hell - I said.
There are many other things I bought, but be patient for the next styling, I can just give you a hint - fluffy fluffy fluffy, haha!
Oh, I enjoyed this shopping so much - picking outfits for the whole family, it was super fun and it made me realize how much I love dressing people up, I just go crazy (which isn't always the best thing for them, but yeah well, it's fun).
And yes, don't worry, still working on my pics, will be uploading them soon!! As I've promised! :)

xoxo, Viktoria

Photo-shooting with Tina!

So, as I've said, I had a photoshooting and this time my victim was Tina, my friend and a croatian singer. We have been trying for months to arrange this photoshooting, and the idea for it was clear from the very beginning - old hollywood style! And of corse, not everything went as planned.
When I started with the developing of the idea and planning itself, I asked my schoolmate if she could help me. At first she was thrilled, but in the end she had some bad luck with her car, so she couldn't come. All  the "clothes" thing got messed up. I was supposed to pick them up in Ljubljana, but the schedule got changed, without me knowing it (cause I couldn't check my email, where it was all written), cause apparently my friend got sick, so she couldn't make it. But no biggie, as soon as I arrived home I contacted Tina and said that I was gonna send her some pictures of the outfit - or at least how should it look like, and that she would have to pick something! And so she did, and did a good job too.
My dad's wife helped me with her hair, which I wanted it to look like Lana del Ray's hair. She asked a friend, who is a hairdresser, to come in the morning so she could give us a hand. She was very helpful, but unfortunately, Tina's got very long hair and a lot of it, so it straighten up pretty quickly. But nevertheless, her hair was beautiful.
I played a bit with the styling here, and I see it as a mix of different things (like- gone with the wind, Saint Laurent, breakfast at tiffanies, mafia, ...).
Oh, and I almost forgot to mention that from great help was my dad's friend, who brought all of his equipment (lights, flash, cameras,...). He was very kind, he actually stayed for the whole photoshooting and helped me with the lights.

It was photographed in the villa Angolina, ( in my post about home u can see the picture of it - the one in front of the garden), which my daddy very kindly arranged.
It is very hard when you are a young artist and you are trying to make your way through, and by it I mean that you don't have money and basically everything you do , you do it for free and to learn something and to do something for yourself. Which means, I almost always have to ask favors from others (or help), favors of any kind (modeling, assisting,...) . You just can't do it alone. And now I actually undersand the importance of an assistant. I was doing the makeup here, and being the stylist, and thanks god I had someone to take care of the lights, cause otherwise I don't know how would I make it!

Another thing is - that it is very hard to work with someone who isn't a model, and I believe it is even harder for them. They don't have any training of how to pose or "dance" with the camera, which angels are their best angels, which side of their face is the "prettiest one" and so on. Models learn those kind of stuff, other people don't, and rare know how to do it. But in spite of it, Tina did a great job. So well done dear ;)

I must say I was very nervous the night before. Usually I get so frustrated with what could go wrong, that I usually do all the wrong things, but this time I was sure of myself. I was prepared. Is it close to my expectations? Yes. Am I satisfied? No. I never am. But that's the beauty of it! There is a saying that explains how artist are never truly happy with their work, they always search for more, for a greater thing ( I think it's something like that, correct me if I am wrong ).
So here is the first round of the photoshooting, and will post all of them in the next post! ;)
Hope you like it!

Summer cosmetics

1.

1. So, as I've said, I am gonna write a few things and tips about cosmetics. This summer I made a huuuuuuge change in my usage of cosmetics, and switched from my usual, heavy foundation to a BB VICHY cream which I use only when I have to (usually when my face gets red from the sun, so I can just tone it up a bit). It moisturizes my skin and keeps it fresh. I have to be really careful, specially in the summer, since I have larger pores, so heavy foundation for me is a big NO NO. So I finally got used to the fact that I really don't need that much make-up on my face, specially in the summer.

2. For a more fresh look I apply some highlighter just above the cheekbones, which makes everything pop (and shiny :P ).
There is a great one I used from YSL, looks like a pencil, and it's really awesome. Another good version of it it's from LUSH, u mix a bit of toned cream with it, or cream, or whatever you use, and apply. THAT'S IT :)

For my T-zones I use this CHANEL light powder, but just a little bit, really a little bit ( you really don't need that much in the summer). And for the evening, I found this great eyeshadows, also CHANEL, which by combining them, makes the eyes pop. Or I just simply apply some eyeliner.

2.

3.To define my eyebrows, I use ARTDECO. I start with brushing my eyebrows and then making the contour with the pencil and then I mix 2 different shades of eyebrow shadow (I believe it's called like that) to fill what needs to be filled. It is more easier to draw your eyebrows with eyebrow shadow, it gives them a softer look and definitely more natural one.

3.

4. I always "stand out" my lips, I just love it. I have big fuller lips, so why not use what mother nature gave me?
I found this amazing bright shades of lipstick from FLOMAR cosmetics, which reminds me a bit of the 80s make-up style. When u are wearing something plane, or you need that special something to your outfit - why not using a bright pink or orange lipstick?! :)
Few months ago I found this amazing light YSL lipstick, which smells really nice. And yes, it shines, haha +  the package design is awesome, you can use it as a little mirror!

4.

5. I love red lips (which u have prolly already noticed it,haha), but I couldn't seem to find that matte type of lipstick I was searching for. Thanks god that some of those ladies that work in those cosmetic stores, know their job, so she advice me this ILLAMASQUA matte lipstick, and I was amazed!! it's really awesome and the color is perfect - red wine, my fav. Yes, I am addicted to red lipstick!

5.

6. During the day I mostly use some perfume-cream, like NINA RICCI's one, it's fresh and it lasts for hours. Couple months ago my grandma gave me this GUCCI - Flora perfume, and since it's a bit heavier, but still flower-ish, I use it in the evening.
I also found this coconut cream for daytime! It's amazing when u go around smelling nothing but coco all the time, haha!

6.

Yesterday, going through PEREZ HILTONS blog, I found this great tutorial about makeup made from Madonna's makeup artist Sammy Mourabit. And it's about that perfect light make-up with, of course, red lips :)

DIY t-shirts

I love making T-shirts, and this is one of them! I saw this amazing T-shirt Rihanna wore from  DIMEPIECE, and I felt immediately in love with it! And yes, I am ordering the original white one this week, it's a sweatshirt tho! So I made this version of it by myself, adding a little something from the other side, so I change it, sometimes the front is in the back and vice versa (other way around).

T-shirts with logos, signs and stuff like that seem to be really popular lately, and you can combine them with everything, if you know how to do it right ofc. So I made a whole bunch of them, including AINT NO WIFEY  one! I did a few of them making my own design!! no worries, will post everything, but easy, step by step!

What would I write about if I would post everything right away, huh??? Joke aside, I love DIY! Today I'll try something with a pair of large pants I have, so, if it comes out right, I'll share it, haha!
I have really a bunch of clothes, half of them haven't been worn yet, and half of them are too big for me now, since I've lost a lot of weight.
Hmm, maybe I should post them here and make a little sale, besides there are some good pieces of clothing - like Calvin Klein pants, *wink wink*
As I've said, step by step :P
Oh, and another thing about my pics, unfortunately they are all taken around my house, since I can't move my ass too much, huh, but hey, as I've said, next week's gonna be pretty much interesting!
Be good guys

xoxo

My beautiful hometown

So, today after 2 weeks of lying in my bad, my daddy took me for a walk through our beautiful town Opatija. So I thought I could share this little piece of me with you!
Opatija is a town situated on the Adriatic coast, Croatia. A lot of tourists and friends I know, compared it with Monaco. It is full of Villas and amazing hotels. By each year it's making progress, so in 10 years, this place should look AMAZING!!!! It already does! :)
Let me copy paste you something from wikipedija, so you can understand it better:

In 1882 Friedrich Julius Schüler, the Managing Director of Southern Railways started the construction of villas and hotels in Opatija and Lovran, and was responsible for the unique lungomare and parks (the Company engaged Carl Schubert, director of the Viennese Emperial-Royal Society for the construction of parks). In 1882, Cesar-royal Society of the Southern railway from Vienna, led by Julius Schuler, purchased the first land with Villa Angiolina in Opatija. There, in the park Angiolina today stands FJ Schüler's bust, the work of the sculptor Hans Rathausky.
It became a fashionable destination for the Austrian imperial family and Austrian nobility and soon more luxury hotels and villas were built. The first luxury hotel – Hotel "Quarnero" (1884) (today "Grand Hotel Kvarner") was built to the plans by the Viennese architect Franz Wilhelm.

And yes, the picture below is the picture of Kvarner, first hotel ever built in this parts!

So,that was just what I needed, ice cream, some great company - my amazing daddy, and my beloved sea! Beautiful, isn't it?? Will upload some more pictures, wehn I'll be able to take longer walks!
p.s. we also have the walk of fame (croatian fame, like those stars on the floor in Hollywood) ahahhaha!!!

† mademoiselle Viktoria

As I've said, I like to play with clothes, and I can be also very much mademoiselle (when I want to :P )
As a big fan of Godfather, maybe I got inspired by it, or maybe cause I am preparing myself for this photoshooting I am making next week with a croatian singer, a friend of mine. The Photoshooting will be inspired with Hollywood divas from the 40's,50's and 60's! I am very nervous but at the same time very excited! My school mate will help me in this photoshoot, and various friends-young talented designers will help by giving me their fabulous clothes! A big thanks to my amazing Dad and his wife, who are helping me a lot, calling people so I can get permission to shoot in some places, for getting me hairdressers and makeup artists. My parents are really amazing, always so involved in my life, and trying so hard to make it all happen!
So keep your finger crossed, and I'll keep you posted!

xoxo
